2007-2008 History

We are Faded At Four- We have the drive, determination and kick ass fans that make us who we are.

The last year in this band has been a historical one, that has challenged us to become the best musicians we can be and driven our performance to levels we had not imagined we could reach.

We competed locally in Ukiah Music Center's Bandslam 2007 performing amongst a strong showing of the talented musicians in our home area. winning the Uber Grand Prize. Our winning was based upon our talent as musicians, our performance and the loyalty of our fans.

In September we had the opportunity to open for Kid Rock at Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa. Playing for our fans in that awesome amphitheater was an incredible experience for all of us and it fueled our desire to perform even more.

We were contestants in the Bodog Battle of The Bands and the pure dedication of our fans placed 3rd in the Nation in online voting and brought us through the various competition performances to place us in the Regional Finals.

The first live competition in Bodog took us to San Francisco's 12 Galaxies in November. Despite the fact that we were one man short with one of our Guitarists, Chris Murphy healing from his PTSD after his deployment in Iraq, we performed in competition with some incredible musicians and won our spot in the "Impress The Judges" round again at 12 Galaxies in San Francisco in December.

At first, the thought of packing a venue on a Wednesday night was daunting based upon the fact that our fans are 3 or more hours away from San Francisco. But our fans once again came through for us. When it was our time to take the stage, a busload of our fans, dressed in Faded At Four tshirts packed the place and cheered us on. How could the judges not be impressed with our fan's love and support? We were once again victorious moving on to the Regional Semi-Finals.

We were awestruck when we entered The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco for the Regional Semi-Finals in January, 2008. The venue was incredible, and the history of the building could be felt everywhere. It was an honor for us to play on the stage where some of the biggest names in music performed. Our fans loaded on 3 busses coming from as far away as Sacramento to see us perform on a Sunday Night. It was a sea of Faded At Four tshirt wearing fans,
chanting "Faded! Faded! Faded!" that fueled our fires that night and brought our performance to the point that we again won this round of competition, moving on to the Regional Finals in Hollywood.

Playing at the Avalon in Hollywood, we knew that due to distance and timing, most of our hometown fans would not have the opportunity to join us for this performance. But once again, our fans came through. Some came to the venue with us, others promoted us to their friends and family in the Los Angeles area and that brought us a whole new set of fans! The experience of playing at the Avalon was unlike any other we have experienced. We had the opportunity not only to perform but also to meet alot of very talented musicians. It was a time that we will never forget.

We have continued to perform for our fans in Lake County at our home base, Carlos & Vinnys in Lakeport. We can be found rocking the building with Vinny wringing his hands as he checks the occupancy limits and counts heads walking through the door.

We also continue to work on our upcoming album, Collateral. Through the collaborative efforts of all of our band members, we have added new songs to our list of original music. Our sound is distinctive and our own.

We never stray from our dedication to our fans in providing them with heavy guitars, pounding baselines and melodic vocals in the Faded At Four way. We know our fans make us who we are and without them, we would be just another group of guys playing music for nobody to hear.

Give us a listen, take our music in, and you will see why we are not just an ordinary rock band, we are a culture, a way of life.. we are FADED AT FOUR!

With his drive for perfection and meticulous nature, guitarist Brian Kenner delivers to Faded At Four’s fans a strong, clear message of rock with passion. When Brian picks up a guitar, he and his instrument become one, carrying the melody to anyone who hears with his intense deliverance.

Getting his start at a very young age, Chris “Murph” Murphy has always had music in his blood. Born to a professional musician father, Chris has never known a world where music wasn’t a part of his world.

Music found its way to Martin “Martan” Scheel when he started playing with his High School Jazz Band. The soulful saxophone was his method of delivery then and now he delivers his heart thumping beats to Faded At Four’s audience through a heavy bass guitar.
